In Sinaia, you can visit the famous Peles Castle, built by the orders of King Carol I of Romania, in German neo-Gothic and neo-Renaissance style. The interior of the castle offers wonderful German, colonial, Turkish, Venetian or Moorish decorations.
How to get to Sinaia
The closest airport is Henri Coanda Bucharest International/Otopeni International. All major international airlines fly to/from this airport. Use Bus Express line 780 to get from the airport to Bucharest North train station (Gara de Nord) or 783 Express line to get from the Airport to the city center. This line runs day and night. At night, the bus leaves every 40 minutes. The Express Bus stop is in front of the Arrivals and Departures Terminals. Price for one trip is 3,5 lei. Sinaia is situated on express road DN 1 (E 60), 120 km from Bucharest, 100 km from Henri Coanda International Airport and 60 km from Brasov.
